This beautifully written and illustrated book with outstanding photography is timely for the climate of our nation having been politically divided. It reminds us of what is really important in this country: the diversity of people, including young and old, people from small towns to cities with a love and pride of our country expressed through displaying our flag in many different ways The stories are heart warming, uplifting and bring a positive feeling during this time of difficulty. This a "must have" book to share with your family and especially our younger generation coming up! Thank you Dale and Karen for gifting us with such a wonderful tribute to our country!
My wish is that every classroom in America have a copy and one issued to every schoolchild. The book is a beautifully simple compilation that so effectively captures the true meaning of patriotism. A must for all ages! My grandchildren, nieces and nephews will each have their own copies to cherish and pass on to their children. This is such a wonderful patriotic tribute to our flag and country. Beautifully assembled with authentic heartfelt stories and tributes to those living and to those fallen in defense of our freedom. We purchased additional books to share with friends and family. This book with its straightforward and sometimes whimsical photographs is a true delight that should be atop every coffe table in the USA.
This is a spectacular book—full of history, rare photography and the best of the human spirit. It brought a lump to my throat and made me so proud of my country again and our people again. I bought one copy for myself, and then coincidentally a few days later I received the same book as a gift from a friend. I am buying a copy for each of my adult kids.
